Mission Statement

wac-justicescale.jpg

It is the mission of Western Alternative Corrections, Inc. to provide offenders with an opportunity of self-discovery and re-education relating to behavior and thinking.  By implementing a two-pronged approach to this effort by utilizing both behavioral and cognitive systems, offenders begin to reconfigure their perceptions, interpretations and responses to stimuli.

By reinforcing positive behavior and focusing on goals the offender will replace old habits with more realistic and effective approaches.  This treatment philosophy may be seen through the service delivery of the company and community based service providers utilized by Western Alternative Corrections, Inc.  The result will be an enhancement of community and offender safety while at the same time residents will become valuable assets to their families, friends and employers.

Providing Alternatives

Through the years, WAC has had the opportunity to work with violent and non-violent offenders, male and female, on probation or parole in a wide variety of capacities. WAC has worked closely with community stakeholders in this effort including the Sheriffs office, County Attorney’s office, Police Department, City Government, Probation and Parole Officers and County Commissioners in an effort to build community support and networking. WAC continues to maintain a very good working relationship with the local community stakeholders.
