| Q: |
How does it work? |
| |
|
| A: |
Under the Ticket Program, you can
receive employment services, vocational services
or other supportive services to help you go to work
or to earn more money. Western Vocational Services,
Inc. (WVS) is an Employment Network (EN) that is
approved, by the Social Security Administration,
to provide these services. |
| |
|
| Q: |
Do you have to take part
in the program? |
| |
|
| A: |
No. The Ticket Program
is voluntary. If you decide to not participate in
the program, your disability benefits will not be
affected at this time. However, you are subject
to all Social Security rules and regulations which
include periodic reviews, etc. Also, you should
keep your ticket in case you decide later to participate
in the program. |
| |
|
| Q: |
How much does it cost? |
| |
|
| A: |
There is no cost to you.
EN’s are paid through the Social Security
Administration, after you start a job. |
| |
|
| Q: |
What does the EN do? |
| |
|
| A: |
An Employment Plan will be developed
that will be right for you. But you must be serious
about going to work and we must feel confident that
you actually want to return to work. Before a Plan
can be developed, WVS will gather lots of information
from you to develop your individualized plan. The
plan will include your goals for the type of work
you want to do and the amount of money you want
to earn. The plan will also state exactly what service
the employment network will provide to help you
reach your goals. You and your legal representative
(if required) must sign and agree to the plan before
the EN starts to work with you. |
| |
|
| Q: |
How does the program affect my disability
benefits? |
| |
|
| A: |

office when you begin to work. There are work incentives
available to you that WVS will assist in coordinating
if appropriate: |
